Does he really like me?

ok one of my best friends named damian acts like he likes me but i don't really know if he does like me. ok when we hug he just don't just give a quick hug, it more like a 3 minute hug. he is always finding ways to touch me. like in the small of my back when we walk up the stairs of our school he has to touch me to make me squirm. over a facebook IM he told me he really loved me but when i got back to school that next monday, nothing happened. is that supposed to mean something? i just need help because he is one of my best friends and he already know i like him but i dont really know if he likes me so does he?
